If you are a current PG Pool member and your child wants to participate in swim team, tryouts will be held in the evening on the following dates:
- Tuesday, May 27, 2025
- Wednesday, May 28, 2025
- Thursday, May 29, 2025
Please note these tryouts are only for current PG Pool members who haven't previously participated in the Killer Whales swim team. Returning swimmers do not need a tryout. For the 2025 swim season, we will not be accepting new swimmers who are not current PG Pool members.

Who can try out for the team?
Swimmers of all ability levels are welcome and no previous swim team experience is required. The team is open to any PG Pool member who will be 18 or younger on May 31, 2025.
What are the requirements for trying out?
To pass the tryout, swimmers should be able to swim across the 25M pool (using any stroke) unassisted and have a desire to learn.
Should I register before or after the tryout?
New swimmers will be able to register after they have passed the tryout. Please do not register and pay until your child has completed the tryout.
VERY IMPORTANT: If your family has current members and will be adding a new swimmer after tryouts, please wait until after your new swimmer is approved to register the whole family. It's ok for your current swimmers to start practicing with the team while you are waiting for your new swimmer's tryout.
