Saturday "A" Meets

MCSL “A” meets are typically held on Saturday mornings, beginning at 9:00 A.M.  We will be swimming against other teams in the in the “M” division.  Meets have 50 events and run approximately 2.5 hours. “Saturday” meets are for the fastest 3 swimmers in each event (top 6 swimmers for freestyle).  Age groups in “A” meets are 8&Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18.  Ribbons are awarded to each swimmer. 

The determination of who swims in the “Saturday” meet is a dynamic process.  Additional swimming slots may become available in “Saturday” meets if a faster swimmer is not available due to sickness or vacation. Swimmers compete in their own age group. Swimmers may be asked to "swim up" to help the team.  Swimmers may not swim below their age group.
