Glenwood is happy to offer a competitive summer Dive team to its members.  Our team's mission is to provide a fun, family-oriented and positive recreational swimming and/or diving experience for the youth of our community. This environment strives to promote lasting friendships, competitive spirit and the joy of attaining one's personal best!

Glenwood is diving in Division II of the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL). The MCDL mission is to promote the safety, fun and learning of the sport of Springboard Diving through instructional practice and age-level competition. For more information on MCDL visit www.mcdiving.org. Our divers are guided by longtime Glenwood leader, Coach Noah Ehrenberg.

Please note that you must register your child online with Glenwood Diving at least 24 hours before his/her first practice. The MCDL bylaws state that "no divers may participate in MCDL (Montgomery County Dive League) team practice or competition without first registering with their home pool.  Any violation of this provision may nullify a team's and possibly the entire league's coverage." Likewise, divers must be cleared through the MCDL registration system by midnight Friday prior to their first meet. Please take a minute to register early; Glenwood Team Admin are looking to have all registrations complete by June 13.

If you have any questions, please contact Dive Reps Carrie Lawlor and Sara Willbrich ([email protected]).

MCDL Training for Judges and Referees

Judges and referees are needed this year! To be certified as a Judge for an MCDL summer dive meet, you must: 1) Complete the NFHS online training, and 2) Attend an MCDL Judge in-person training. We will post information about the 2025 Judges clinics as soon as we get the information from MCDL. We would love for every family to sit through one session if you’re able. At a minimum, it will help you understand and appreciate all that your divers are working on when they execute those dives! More so, it will help us hold meets because we simply can’t compete without judges and refs. Certification lasts three years, so even if you are still current for 2025, consider sitting in on a refresher!

Stay tuned for information on coach training, announcer training and rep mentoring. We’re looking forward to a great summer of diving!
