Online registration is open! You can find TeamUnify from the Glenwood website under Swim & Dive Teams or click here. So long as you've paid your Glenwood membership dues, you may sign up. Please ensure all contact and billing information is updated and sign the required waivers. Diver registration is $125 per diver, which includes insurance through the Montgomery County Dive Leagues (MCDL). You can find more detailed registration instructions here. Please use your existing account to login and register. If your email address has changed since last summer, email Glenwood Swim & Dive Team Treasurer Traci Vagnucci at [email protected] and she will update your account for you. 

Introducing Our Dive Coaches and CITs

We are incredibly excited to welcome back Noah Ehrenberg (Head Coach), Daniel Vagnucci (Lead Assistant Coach) and Aidan Lawlor. (Assistant Coach). Joining them on deck as Assistant Coaches will be Keira Majarowitz and Morgan Slattery. These amazing, dedicated coaches, are excited to amp up our Tiger dive spirit and help our kiddos progress by safely advancing their skills and overcoming their fears. Our children are in great hands, and our coaches are ready for a season of safe, fun and exciting diving! A new addition this year is that we will have two "Coaches in Training," Sophie Bruce and Jackson Vagnucci, who will assist with practices once or twice a week this summer, learning from our coaching staff, supporting our youngest divers, and being leaders in team spirit!!

Division II

Glenwood is now once again in Division II. Due to a new team joining MCDL (aka Montgomery County Dive League) this summer (yay!) the divisions were re-divided last month and we ended up back with our friends in Division II after the shortest ever stint in Division I, LOL!!! This is a good thing because we love our Division II teams including: Seven Locks, Old Georgetown, Regency Estates, and Robin Hood. Clinics to Become an Official

Our meets can’t happen without our parent-volunteer judges and referees. We count on parents and will link you up with training. If you are new, consider attending the judges training to learn more about this great sport. To access the on-line portion of training, click here. In-person MCDL judges training dates and locations are as follows:

June 1, Sunday 9-10:30 am at Manor Woods

June 8, Sunday 8:15 am - 9:45 am at Regency Estates 

June 10, Tuesday 6:00 - 7:30pm at Glenwood - Referee Training Same Day 

June 13, Friday 6:00 - 7:30pm at Seven Locks

June 19, Thursday 6:30 - 8:00pm at Flower Valley

Diving Well Warm-Up 5/27

We encourage our returning families and kiddos to come to our diving well warm-up this coming Tuesday, May 27th, from 5-7pm (possibly ending early due to current weather forecast).  Everyone can meet our new coaches, parents can chat with the new Dive Reps and divers can warm up the boards. Please bring your friends who may be interested in dive team and chat with new famillies who stop by to check out all the fun!

First Practice 5/28

Wednesday, May 28 kicks us off for afternoon practices. Your divers can attend open age practice at 4:15-5:00 pm, 5:00-5:45 pm or 5:45-6:30 pm! Practice times are coordinated so that our dual athletes can attend both dive and swim practices daily.

Jobs Sign-Up Opens 6/2

Volunteer jobs will open in Team Unify on June 2nd. We will send details on the exact time soon. Remember that your family is required to sign up for a minimum # of slots during the season for divers in your family (1 diver = 3 slots, 2 divers = 5 slots, and 3 divers = 6 slots) and that we need parents who can judge (see the Judge Clinic blurb above). 

In the meantime, we are in need of a few particular volunteers to handle a few specific season-long jobs:

• Team photographer (counts as up to 5 slots): It's always nice to capture our kiddos mid-air and share the photos at the season's ending banquet. If you have an eye for action-shots, the right equipment, and a know-how with photo sharing sites, we'd love to have your help.
• Social events lead (counts as up to 5 slots): We're looking for someone with organizational prowess to help us organize the opening potluck and family dive meet events supported by our other parent volunteers.
• Concessions lead (counts as up to 6 slots): We're looking for someone who is comfortable helping to oversee meet concessions from set-up to takedown for both of our home meets. You will be able to take breaks to see your diver(s) show their stuff during the meet, but will otherwise ensure concessions runs smoothly with our other parent volunteers.

Dive Family Potluck & Team Spirit Kickoff 6/8

Bring a dish to share and the whole family as we catch up and socialize poolside from 4:30-6:30pm! We'll take team pics, reveal our records board updates, and ramp up Tiger spirit.  Paper plates, utensils, cups, and napkins will be provided by your team reps. We'll send a sign-up link as the date draws nearer.

First Dive Meet 6/15

We are hosting this first meet at Glenwood from 4-7ish. Home meets require us to show up early for warm-ups so the other team can get on the boards right before the meet. First Morning Practices 6/18

Our morning practices and alternate afternoon schedule begin the day after MCPS closes. We will send out times in a future email.
