Morning practices begin Wednesday, June 18th (see details below). 1 day no afternoon practice Wednesday June 18th-only, due to the swim team’s B meet. Dollar breakfast begins, Wednesday June 18th. Last Judges training Thursday June 19th 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Flower Valley. Away Meet at Robin Hood, Sunday June 22nd.
Meet Recap!
Congratulations Tigers on a great – though shiver inducing – first meet of the season. Glenwood Roared to victory over Regency Estates with a final score of 57-32. Thanks again to all of our amazing parent volunteers, at the tables, in the judges/refs chairs and over at concessions. Quasi Funday Monday
It is Fun Day Monday . . . sort of! Divers may celebrate their hard work at Sunday’s dive meet with an extra-fun in practice this afternoon. Or they can work on stuff. (Normal Funday Monday’s will resume once MCPS is done torturing us all.)
Practice Schedule by Day
Because this week is so complicated, here is the practice breakdown by day:
Monday and Tuesday: Afternoon sessions only at 4:15-5:00 pm, 5:00-5:45 pm, 5:45-6:30 pm
Wednesday: Morning sessions by age group at 9:00-10:00 am for 13-18s, 10:00-10:45 am for 11-12s, 10:45 am-11:30 am for 9-10s, 11:30 am-12:00 pm for 8 & Unders. No Afternoon Practice Wednesday Due to B Meet!
Thursday and Friday: Morning sessions by age group at 9:00-10:00 am for 13-18s, 10:00-10:45 am for 11-12s, 10:45am-11:30 am for 9-10s, 11:30 am-12:00 pm for 8 & Unders. OR Afternoons session any age: 4:30-5:30pm, and 5:30-6:30pm
NOTE: Practice times for dive will NOT change for the Juneteenth holiday. However, practices will adjust board use to accommodate the pool's early opening.
Dollar Breakfast begins!
Your kiddo can bring a buck to Wednesday morning practice and enjoy an easy start to the day! Happens every Wednesday for the rest of the season!
Lawn Care Thursdays
Please remind all divers to drop their bags on the deck or around the giant Funbrella on Thursday morning, and keep out of the grass/tables while the grounds team mows the Glenwood lawns to perfection. Bikes should also be parked off of the grass at the back gate.
