Sunday Meet Details

Hello Divey Dive People!

Our divers are signing dive sheets today at the beginning of their practices. If your diver is missing all practices today, they may sign the sheet before warm-ups at the meet. You can let us know here. Also, please let coaches/us know if your diver(s) are not planning to dive this Sunday. 

Our meet this Sunday is AWAY at Robin Hood pool, 225 Mowbray Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20904.

Starting Times: 12 & unders, please arrive by 3:15 pm so that we can get on the boards as soon as they are available for first half warm-ups at 3:30 pm. Meet starts at 4:00 pm. Judges and table worker meeting at 3:50 pm.

Parking: Glenwood dive families are welcome to park in any available spaces in the Robin Hood lot. We may also park on the pool side of Mowbray (no parking is allowed on the other side as the street needs to remain clear enough for a fire truck to pass if necessary). Additional parking is available at Westover Elementary School at the corner of Locksley Ln and Hawkesbury Ln. There is a cut-through path to the pool from the school just to the right of the big white house.

Staying Cool: Temps are predicted to be close to 100 on Sunday. Please bring extra ice water for your diver. Also a good idea to bring hats and fans if you have them. Dive rep Sara will bring a couple of tents from Glenwood, but could use some extra hands for loading them into her car and bringing them into Robin Hood. Please reach out if you can lend a hand with this.

Concessions: Robin Hood will have concessions available during the meet including BBQ pork sandwiches, mini-corn dogs, drinks, and assorted snacks. Ice cream treats can be purchased at the guard office during the last 10 minutes of the hour during adult swim.

Team Area: Glenwood dive team will be hanging out on the far side of the pool at Robin Hood – this includes the brick patio with several tables and the grassy area under the tree.
