Meet #4 is in the books and we are rounding the bend into our last few weeks! As many of you have heard, the MCDL board reviewed the results of our thundered-out meet with OGC and determined that we need to finish out the last two groups to abide by league rules. We plan to wrap up the meet this Thursday at 5pm right before our annual Family Dive Meet and Potluck. We encourage ya’ll to come out and show lots of love for our 15-18 year olds – a great opportunity for some of our littlest cubs to see their coaches and CITs in action!!!

Monday Funday!
Wednesday Morning - Dollar Breakfast.
Wednesday Afternoon - Swim team B meet, no practice.
Thursday Morning - Lawncare, avoid lawn and terrace tables.
Thursday Afternoon - Finish OGC Meet and Family Dive Meet and Potluck.
Saturday Evening - Family Dance and Teen Splash & Roar.
Sunday Afternoon - Away meet v. Seven Locks.

Meet Recap

Glenwood took our big green tents and our super-talented kiddos to the far reaches of northern MoCo (well at least it seemed like it) and put on quite the show for the crowd up at Tanterra. No score since this was an “out of division” meet, but lots of personal bests. So much great diving, we hear that Coah Noah was super proud! And a special shout out to our amazing swimmers who participated in the relay Carnival that morning including Caroline, Isaac, Carmen, Ezra and Keira and STILL showed up to dive. We assume you’re sleeping well tonight.

Practice Schedule This Week

No practice on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday please come in the morning, if possible, as we will be using one board for the make-up dive meet in the afternoon. 

 

Family Potluck and Parent Dive Meet
Thursday, July 10th. Join us for our annual Parent Dive "competition" and potluck dinner. It’s all in good fun with no experience needed! Parents can warm up on the boards staring at 6pm before the event starts.  Scoring by our dive team members and prizes for all who participate. More details and potluck sign-up sheet coming soon.


Family Dance and Teen Splash and Roar
Saturday July 12th. We’ll start handing out ice cream treats around 6 p.m. and follow with a DJ and dancing from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. When the dance ends and the pool closes, we're ramping up the fun this season with a new late-night pool party for swimmers and divers ages 13 to 18. Teens enjoy water games, pool toys, poker lessons, snacks, and swimming under the stars from 9:45 p.m. to 1 a.m. We’re calling this exclusive event “Teen Splash & Roar.” (This party replaces the old teen overnight because sleeping on a pool lounge chair all night was never as awesome as we made it sound.
