Hello! For some reason this email didn't make it out to many of you when it was sent on Tuesday. See below and an update will also be sent out within a half hour from now.
Hey Tiger Dive Families!
As we near the end of this high-flying season, we’ve got one more opportunity for our Glenwood Tigers to show off their skills and make waves — it’s the Robin Hood Invitational, and it’s going to be a splash!
Here’s everything you need to know to dive in:
Who: This meet is open to all divers who are not participating in the Divisional Meet.
When: Friday, July 18
Start Time: The meet kicks off at 3:00 PM.
Warmups: Start at 2:30 PM for our tiniest Tigers (6&Unders). No one should arrive before 2:30 PM. There will be a specific warm-up for each age group (girls & boys) just prior to their event.
Where: Robin Hood Swim Club, 225 Mowbray Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904 (flyers attached for details!)
Age Groups Note: The age groups at this meet are a little different — there is a separate 6&Under group (instead of just 8&Unders), so your mini Tigers will get their own spotlight!
If transportation and/or supervision is a challenge, no worries — reach out to the dive reps and we will work with you to help find a ride or an adult to be your kiddo’s “point person,” so no one misses the fun. If you are a parent willing to help with a ride or support, also please let us know.
Diver Sign-Ups: Divers, please sign your sheets Thursday evening at practice or by Friday morning at the latest. Also, please sign up here.
Volunteer Sign-Ups: These meets don’t run without YOU! Thank you in advance for helping us out. Please sign up here.
Food & Fun: Come hungry! The concession stand will be open throughout the meet. Starting at 5 PM, Robin Hood will be serving up their famous pulled pork sandwiches, and Raising Cane’s chicken & Texas toast — yum! Word on the street is there’s also going to be a Jolyn pop-up sale, so bring your wallets and stock up on some awesome gear!
Dive Format Note: Depending on how the meet is flowing, the Robin Hood rep may opt to reduce the number of optional dives for 11&Overs by one.
