Session Two (1/14-5/19)

Unfortunately, summer is pretty much in the rear view mirror at this point. School is back in session. The neighborhood pools are closing up for the winter. The football season is even coming to an end. (Great job Michigan).

Anyway, you may be wondering if there's a way for your swimmers to keep swimming even though it's not summer... and there is! Sure, you can look to some of the big year-round programs like OCCS (Sponsor!), NCAP (Sponsor!), Riptide, or Lifetime (can someone get those last two to sponsor us?). Those are all great options, but they do cost a lot in time and money. That's why we offer our Off-Season Program, with a once-a-week practice time and a one-time reasonable registration fee. We've got Coach Zach and Coach Shane coming back to lead the program and it's going to be great!

We will be meeting at Central Park Aquatics Center on Sundays and swimming from 5:00pm to 6:00pm beginning on January 14th. Session Two will run through January 14th and consist of approximately 17 practices (NOTE: We expect some no swim weeks during this session, 3/24 and/or 3/31).
 
Prerequisites include: participation on a swim team (Guppies and other summer teams included), comfortable in the water by themselves, and able to swim across the pool. We may or may not have any coaches in the water with the swimmers - we hope to, but need to plan for both scenarios. The Shaw pool is only 3 1/2 feet deep, but we would really like all our swimmers to be confident and capable of being safely independent in the water.
 
Participation in the Off-Season Swim program for Session Two is: $175.00/per swimmer or $150 for swimmers who were registered for Off-Season Session One. We have opened up registration online this year so we can best plan for our swimmers and be ready to go on day one. If you pay with plastic, there will be a 4% transaction fee. Checks should be made payable to “Bridlewaves Swim Team”; cash (in US denominations only) should be handed over calmly, with no sudden movements. This fee is non-refundable.
 
One last thing: we will need at least 25 swimmers for the program to make sense and if we don't get that many, we'll have to make adjustments up to and including CANCELLATION (NOOOOOooooooo!)
