Lancer News - Week 3

Great job on a successful first dual meet against the Westridge Waves this past Saturday!  Everyone swam great, parent volunteers were top notch and a good time was had by all!

Lil Lancers start practicing on Tuesday! 10:45-11:30am (T, W, Th)

Competitive team, you need to commit by Tuesday evening as Coach Lauren will start entries on Wednesday for our away meet this Saturday against Brookside. Please update even if your swimmer won't be there. Otherwise we will have to track them down on deck later this week and we would rather put that time to better use. As Sarah Smith told you, it's FAR away in Fauquier County. No, I don't know why they are in the Prince William Swim League. Map it here and see how long it will take you. 

This week we have our very first Fun Friday to end the week (only for competitive team members, no practice for Jr or Lil Lancers).

Coach Lauren told swimmers who their Lancer Buddies were if they signed up for one. Be on the lookout for an email for her that outlines the weekly themes and details about your buddies. 

Several parents were approached on deck to help set up age group activities for our competitive team swimmers. We still need 2 parents for the 9-10 age group and 1 parent for the 8 and under age group. It's a very low pressure job and you will have help!  Please reply to my email if you're interested. 

Lastly, because our team has grown considerably this year, we will no longer fit in the venue we have used for awards night in years past. Please email me if you know of a local venue that can hold our 200 swimmers and their parents. We are considering both indoor and outdoor options.
