Jr/Lil Lancer Mini Meet Details

Hi Jr/Lil Lancer Families!!!

This week we have our very first Jr/Lil Lancer Mini Meet of the season! Please make sure to go onto the website and let us know if your child will be participating and sign up for one of the jobs available to ensure our mini meet can happen. I have included a screenshot of our homepage where you can find the buttons you will need to do that. Off to the right and toward the lower end of our homepage, you'll see our list of upcoming team events. The first event you'll see is the "Jr & Lil Lancer Mini Meet #1".  I have circled the "Edit Commitment" button in blue that you will click on to let us know if your child will be swimming in the mini meet or not (please answer either way).  I have circled the "Job Signup" button in green for you to choose from the available jobs to help run the meet. You will be taught whichever job you choose so don't be afraid to select something you may not know how to do. NOTE: Snack and drink provider are perfect jobs if you have other littles in tow. Please do these things ASAP so we can get everything planned in time for Thursday. This is exactly what the parents of our competitive team swimmers have to do every week.

What: Jr & Lil Lancer Mini Meet

Where: Lake Ridge Swim Club

Who: All Jr and Lil Lancers

When: Thursday, June 27th @ 10:00am check-in time

What do expect:

Swimmers will be doing freestyle and backstroke for this meet. Don't worry if your child hasn't mastered those skills yet. There will be a coach in each lane with the swimmers to assist them with a pool noodle, as necessary. This will be run just like a regular meet with the starter sound signaling the swimmers to hop in the pool and begin their race. After all of our swimmers have finished their events, we will gather under the pavilion for the kids to enjoy a small snack and drink and receive the ribbons they earned for their hard work. We expect everything to wrap up by 11:30am.
