Recreational swim meets are fun, but to run smoothly, many volunteers must contribute time and energy. To keep the duties from being a burden on a few people, we ask that all families contribute to volunteering.
Each Family will be required to work four shifts through the season.
If your family has only 6 and under participants, you are exempt from volunteer duties during the season. If you have a teen family member/friend who would like to receive volunteer hours for volunteering at a meet, Coach Carlos will sign volunteer forms. We will, in addition, count the session worked toward your family's volunteer obligation.
There are two shifts per meet. In addition to the four volunteer sessions during our dual meets, each family will also be required to volunteer 2 sessions at Big Champs or 1 session at 6 and under champs if you only have a 6 and under. If working during a meet is too difficult for your family then you can either “buy out” or another volunteer opportunity will be assigned to you.
If you are new to swimming and/or our team please know that the volunteer activities are not difficult. They actually help you better understand the sport of swimming. When you understand more you can be a better aid to your swimmer.
If you are unable to volunteer then you can opt to buyout.
