General Inforamtion for New and Returning Divers:

Dive Evaluations:  This is for all new divers, as well as divers from the previous season who did not qualify for the championship meet.

  •  Tryouts are not based on a set list of skills each person can/cannot do.
  •  We will take into consideration what they can do but also the age group they’re in and the expectations for dives in that age group.
  •  Individuals will need to be able to walk to the edge of the board to do a hurdle jump, and also be able to do a standing back press.
  •  Divers who can do flips/dives will be encouraged to do them at tryouts.
  • The dates and times will be announced in a communication from the coaches for dates the week after Memorial Day.
  • At the conclusion of the tryouts, coaches will speak to the individuals who have made the team.
  • Those divers will also be given a Dive Sheet which will dictate what the divers will need to do in their age group in order to qualify for a meet.

Practice Information:

Morning practices will begin after the last day of school for the Downingtown Area School District.  Please refer to the Events & Meet Tab on the Home Page of TU for specific dates.

Divers who want to compete must attend at least 2 practices per week.  As a team, we can only have 3 divers in each age group compete in meets.  Divers will be put on a rotation so that everyone has a chance to compete at meets.  Divers can also attend meets as exhibition entries.

  • Practices are Monday - Friday.
  • Practices are split by age group and will be determined based on team numbers.
