First day of Practice!

Good evening to our TGL families!

Welcome to the 2019 season! Let the FUN begin!

The TGL coaches are ready and excited to see all of our new and returning Lightning swimmers tomorrow, Tuesday, May 28th. Practice times will be in the afternoon/evening until school is out for the summer.  The practice times are:

Pre - Season Practice (May 28 -- JUNE 6)                          

5:00 – 5:30pm   6 & under age group                                                                     

5:30 – 6:30pm   7 & 8 age group                                                      

6:30 – 7:30pm   9/10, 11/12, 13/14 age groups

Please arrive to the pool with goggles, caps, suits, and towels ready to go. Swimmers will meet their coaches and be escorted from the shallow end of the pool to the practice area with lane lines. Parents will be asked to stay in the zero depth end of the pool to aid in the flow of practice and to allow our coaches to gain the attention of your swimmer.

Safety is our #1 priority! Coaches will be in the water with your swimmers if needed, especially for our 6 & U. If your child is not the strongest swimmer, they will be in good hands! Parents are invited (even encouraged) to stay at practices for younger swimmers especially, and again, you may watch from the zero depth end of the pool.

The TGL Board of Directors will be present on Tuesday & Wednesday night to conduct parent meetings on those first practice days.

Great news...apparel will be distributed at our first practice on Tuesday! We do understand many kids won’t be able to attend every practice the first 2 weeks so we look forward to seeing your swimmer as soon as they can make it! The first morning practice will be Friday, June 7th; we will have a second apparel distribution on that Friday morning and then again the following morning at our TIME TRIALS meet on Saturday, June 8th.
