TGL 1st Practice Update

And we're off and swimming...

I would like to personally thank all of our brave Lightning swimmers, our amazing TGL Coaches led by  Head Coach Jeff Davis & Assistant Coach Lily Hunt, and to all the parents for ALL of your support on a very successful start to our 2019 TGL season.

The big news out of our first practice last night was the following:

  • 84 DEGREES -- the pool water is nice and warm (thank you to Adam from Clearwater Pools) and set to 84 degrees. In swimming that is the temperature that matters. TGL forecast tonight from 5:00PM-7:30PM is:

    • air temp 72 degrees
    • no wind (under 6mph)
    • water temp of a balmy 84 degrees

  • APPAREL -- The apparel was ready for pick-up on Day 1 and the 2019 TGL "Daisy" yellow t-shirts were very well organized and ready to go! Thank you to Amber Faith, Megan LaCoursiere and Adrienne Martens for all your work in this area. We will have apparel out again tonight!

  • PARENT MEETINGS --Thank you to Mark Duker , your Parent Liaison, for creating our new HEALTH FORM & MEDICAL RELEASE to be filled out for all your swimmers this week. We will have copies on hand tonight if you missed it yesterday.

    • TGL focus: SAFETY & FUN
    • Molly Evans, Mark Duker, and Megan LaCoursiere will be on hand again at today's practices to hold another round of parent meetings if you missed them yesterday.

We will hope to stay dry and warm this week. I hope to see you all soon...
