| Chesapeake Golf Club Serpents Swimsuit Guidelines Purpose: Ensure appropriate and comfortable attire for all swimmers during practices and meets, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. General Guidelines:
- Suit Color: The team suit is recommended for meets to promote unity and should be purchased through the approved vendor. The alternate suit color for meets is Navy Blue. Any color suit , of appropriate make, (as outlined below) may be worn to practices.
- Suit Type: Competitive suit is required: one-piece for girls, jammers/briefs for boys. No bikinis, board shorts, or fashion swimwear.
- Fit and Function: Suits must fit properly (not too tight or loose) and provide adequate coverage without riding up, gaping, or shifting. Transparent, revealing, or worn-out suits are prohibited.
- Modesty and Inclusivity: Additional coverage (e.g., swim shirts, modesty suits) is permitted for religious, cultural, or personal reasons if it doesn't violate competition rules. Accommodations will be made for sensory or medical needs.
- Swim Caps: Swim caps are recommended for swimmers during practices and are considered mandatory for meets. Caps worn at meets must neon-lime green, any version of the Serpents logo is permitted. Any color cap may be worn to practices.
- Compliance: Coaches/leadership will address non-compliant swimwear privately. Repeated violations may require the swimmer to change before participating.
- Parent Accountability: Parents are expected to ensure their swimmers arrive in compliant swimwear and to support coaches/leadership in upholding these guidelines respectfully.
