2025 Champs Results

ERRA Barracudas

Our 2025 swim seaon officially wrapped up on Saturday, July 26th at the VSL Champsionship Meet held at JMU. Between the six VSL teams there were 436 swimmers, bumped up to 465 with the Piranhas participating. Overall it was a GREAT meet with some big time drops!

Over the course of the day, our Barracuda swimmers swam a total 282 individual events with 202 BEST TIMES and over 450 seconds dropped!

TWO champs records were broken by Barracudas - one by Alison Hooke: 15-18 Girls 50 Fly - 23.95 SCY (previous record 26.46 in 2021 by Sarah Dunham) as well as the 15-18 Mixed Medley Relay by Barracuda swimmers James Hewitt (backstroke), Kaleb Erb (breaststroke), Alison Hooke (butterfly), and Liam McMahon (free) - 1:39.88 SCY (previous record 1:41.23 in 2022 by Erb, Erb, Wright, and Martin). Kaleb Erb also broke a Barracuda team record in the 15-18 Boys 50 Free - 21.67 SCY (previous record 21.72 in 2022 by Zachary Erb).

A HUGE THANK YOU to our Meet Directors, coaches, volunteers, and everyone who helped in achieving another successful Championship Meet! Despite the timing system glitch in the morning, a blown fuse in the afternoon, sick kids, last minute missing swimmers, and ALL THE THINGS we know to expect (but hope to avoid), we had a great day and wrapped everything up about 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

A link went out with pictures from the day as well, so be sure to scroll through and find your favorites! Full results can be found here: https://www.gomotionapp.com/recvserrabva/__eventform__/1451217_8ec5e090-9919-4839-8c39-cfc4feff410f.pdf.
