2025 Summer Practice Schedule
FINAL PRACTICE SCHEDULE IS STILL TO BE DETERMINED, specifically the time prior to Rockingham County School end of the year as we are dependent on weather and coach availability. Practices between May 27th and June 6th may be adjusted as needed.
Practices are held at ERRA Pool, Monday - Saturday with a few exceptions. Prior to Rockingham County schools end of the year (June 6th), practice schedule is to be determined. Saturday morning practice times will be as scheduled beginning Saturday, May 31. Jr Barracudas will practice from Monday, June 9th through Friday, July 18th (assessments on Saturday, May 31).
IMPORTANT - Swimmers are NOT required to attend all practices, so please do not be overwhelmed by the times! As a parent, you get to decide what practices work best for your family. We realize all families have different schedules and work hours over the summer, so we try to provide practice times that are flexible for everyone.
- Please have your child(ren) bring/wear sneakers and other appropriate work-out clothes in case water temps are too low (below 72 degrees) as we will have dryland practice.
- Lane assignments and spacing will be decided by coaches during practice and based on safety and swimmer ability.
- Your child(ren)’s safety is our top priority. When we hear thunder or see lightning, the pool deck must be COMPLETELY cleared. We will try to make the most accurate calls we can with the information we are given.
- Please respect the practice times and be prompt both when arriving (drop-off) and departing (pick-up).

6:45p - New swimmer assessments (new families - include Jr Barracudas); arrive by 6:30pm
7:30p - PARENT ORIENTATION (choose this or orientation on May 31) & Meet the Coaches
May - practice schedule TBA; weather & water temp dependent
May 31 - practices as scheduled (Saturday)
9:00a - New swimmer testing (new families - include Jr Barracudas); arrive by 8:45am
9:30a - PARENT ORIENTATION (if you attended earlier, it's the same one) :)
June 3 - NO practices; assessments only.
7:00p - New swimmer assessments (new families - include Jr Barracudas); arrive by 6:45pm
7:30p - PARENT ORIENTATION (choose this or orientation on May 31) & Meet the Coaches
June 7 - Registration closes
June 9 - Weekday morning practices begin; Jr Barracuda practices begin
June 10 - Mock Meet - arrive at ERRA by 5:45pm; meet start at 7pm
June 17 - ERRA vs Westover (HOME MEET) - arrive at ERRA by 4:45pm; meet start at 6pm
June 24 - ERRA at Spotswood (AWAY MEET) - arrive at Spotswood by 5pm; meet start at 6pm
July 1 - ERRA vs Massanutten (HOME MEET) - arrive at ERRA by 4:45pm; meet start at 6pm
July 4 - NO PRACTICES - 4th of July!
July TBA - 7:15pm - Team pictures!! (practices to follow)
July 8 - ERRA at Ashby (AWAY MEET) - arrive at Ashby by 5pm; meet start at 6pm
July 15 - ERRA vs. Broadway (HOME MEET) - arrive at ERRA by 4:45pm; meet start at 6pm
July 26 - CHAMPS at JMU (10/under in AM - 11/older in afternoon)
August TBA - Team Awards Night & Social @ 7pm - ERRA pool
