Items You May Wish To Bring To A Swim Meet

Hi Swim Families!  Here is a list of items you may wish to bring to a swim meet. 

  • Swim suit, swim cap, goggles (bring extra of each)
  • Towels - at least two.  Shammies are also a great idea to save on wet towels
  • Something to sit on during downtime - Sleeping bag, blankets, lawn chairs
  • Warm ups/Robe/Sweats for in between events. It is super important for your swimmer to stay warm!
  • Shoes!!  Crocs, tennis shoes, etc.  Flip flops are ok but lots of heat leaves your body thru your feet.
  • Nutritious food and drinks.  Light, easy digestible food is great.  Avoid greasy, sugary foods
    • Cheese/crackers    String cheese
    • Fruit and/or Vegetables
    • Granola bars
    • Hard boiled eggs
    • PB sandwiches
    • Trail mix
    • Chocolate milk
    • Sport drinks (I like them mixed 50/50 with water)
    • Yogurt, applesauce, pudding
  • Games, cards, something to do (of course would love to see things that require interaction between swimmers and not just staring at a screen)
  • Plastic bag for wet stuff after meet and dry clothes
  • Helpful things for parents to have:
    • cash for concessions and heat sheets
    • Highlighter for marking events in heat sheet
    • Black sharpie for marking events on swimmers arm/leg
