Coaches and Directors
Hi I’m Jack Wanless. I will be a Senior at Lyons Township High School and have been swimming for 11 years. I started swimming at WSSC when I was 5 years old and now this will be my third year as a coach. Part of the reason I enjoy coaching is to share my love for this sport. Working with the kids to swim faster and have fun is the best part. Summer swim at Waves brings back great memories of the team and the coaches. I can’t wait to see and meet all of you this summer. It is going to be a lot fun.
My name is Ethan Baum and I am Junior at LTHS. I swim year round for Lyons Aquatics, as well as I have been on the LT Boys Swim and Dive team for the past 3 years. I have lifeguarded at the WSSC for the past two years, and I gave swimming lessons last year. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to coach the Waves swim team this year, as it has been something I have been wanting to do for awhile now. Private Lessons are also something I would be very interested in, as I have subbed for private lessons before and loved it. I am looking forward to a great and fun season!
Hi! My name is Sofia Hannon and I am so excited to be returning for a second year of coaching for Waves! I will be a senior at Lyons Township next year and have been swimming competitively for 10 years, including Waves when I was younger, Lyons swim club, and have been on the LT Girls Swim team for 3 years. I am also a waterpolo player and have been on the LT Girls Waterpolo team for 3 years as well. This summer, I will continue to do private lessons to help kids improve their strokes, turns, dives, or just to perfect the basic skills. I am looking forward to having another great summer and am so excited to see everyone again!
My name is Libby Langan. I will be a sophomore at LTHS next school year. I have swim competitively since I was 8 years old. I started on Waves the summer I turned 7 and have loved it ever since. Currently I swim on Lyons Aquatics and love it. I am so excited to meet all the swimmers this summer. I am also looking forward to having a fun summer with fast swim times.
My name is Kennedy Wanless and I will be a sophomore at LTHS next year. I started swimming for Waves when I was five years old and have some great memories. I am part of a big swim family, with 2 sisters and a brother who all have swam. At LTHS I play basketball and soccer. I helped out a little bit with the swim team last year, and I am looking forward to being a coach this year and having fun with the kids.
