Some of your responsibilities as a Jr. Coach are…

  1. Be available for the coaches. Listen and learn!
  2. Be ready to get in the pool EVERY practice.
  3. Be able to demonstrate each stroke, touch, turn and dive correctly.
  4. Be aware of your swimmers ability. Your number one priority is safety.
  5. Refer parent questions to a coach.
  6. Help set up and tear down at practices, meets and events.
  7. Escort and encourage the swimmers thru clerk of corse.
  8. Teach each element of a stroke in and out of the water. As well as be able to recognize incorrect parts of one’s stroke.
  9. Make sure you are encouraging and fun for your swimmers.
  10. Have a positive attitude and hug available at all times!
