Being a member of our team means team involvement from both swimmers and their parents.
Step 1: Confirm you agree with the teams expectations Please review the Team handbook before applying The Handbook includes information on Fees, Participation expectations, Parent Volunteer expectations and code of conduct.
Step 2: Verify Eligibility If the above expectations are agreeable, then make sure that your swimmer meets the eligibility criteria on our Who Can Apply page.
Step 3: Apply CLICK HERE TO ACCESS OUR APPLICATION After we receive your application, we will contact you with details on the tryout process.
Step 4: Set Up Your Tryout Tryouts are held at the beginning of our 1615 practice sessions during the school year. Once you complete the application we will be in touch with information about how to schedule your try-out. Tryouts are an approx.15 minute assessment of your child's swimming ability. This allows us to identify which swimming group is most appropriate for your child to join. At a MINIMUM your child must be able to swim 25m (any stroke) without stopping to be successful. Map: https://goo.gl/maps/gaCYT88gBNM2 During this time try-out time, the board also reviews our current team and practice group rosters to determine the number of NATO, non-NATO, international, and national swimmers allowable. Please note that due to high demand and pool capacity, we may not have enough slots available for all qualified swimmers.
Step 5: Make Payment and Join the Bullsharks Upon mutual decision to join our team, we will provide payment information to join the bullsharks. Here is an overview of our Fees.
The following discounts are available. 1. Sibling discount. First child pays full fees. 10% discount for each additional sibling, excludes insurance. 2. Pay-in-full discount. 5% discount for paying full fees up front, excludes insurance.
Step 6: Complete Medical Clearance Form Your swimmer's Medical Clearance Form must be completed as soon as possible. A signature from a doctor is only required if there are restrictions noted on the form. Otherwise parents may sign-off on the form. You may scan and email your form to [email protected].
