Summer Lake Tsunamis 2024 coaching slate:
Griffen Andrews. I am a student and member of the Gamecocks Club Swim Team at the University of South Carolina and I’m the head coach for Summerlake this year! I’ve been swimming competitively since I was 5 years old and have spent the last eight years with the Tsunamis. I swam with the Quest Club team and was a member of the Cosby Varsity Swim Team all four years of high school, becoming a Captain of that team my Senior Year. I was an Assistant Coach at Summerlake for the past three years, so I’m excited to take up this new responsibility and lead our team to an amazing season. Let’s look forward to an awesome summer! Assistant Coaches:
Luisa DiFazio. I am currently a senior at Clover Hill High School. I’ve been swimming at Summer Lake since I was 6 and this will be my 4th year working at a Tsunami’s coach. I oversee the Ripples program and I love working with these kids and seeing them grow. I can’t wait for another great season!
Evy Cobean. I have been a swimmer for the Summer Lake Tsunamis since moving to the neighborhood in 2020. In addition to swimming for Summer Lake, I also swim and compete year-round for Quest. I am a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and work at the Quest Swim School as both a lifeguard and a swim instructor. I volunteered as a junior coach for the Tsunamis in 2021 & 2022 before becoming an assistant coach in 2023. I am very excited to return for my second summer as an assistant coach! I am a rising junior and attend classes at Bridge Academy. I love working with kids and aspire to be a special education teacher. I have lots of experience with children through helping with my siblings and foster siblings, babysitting, serving in the church nursery, and coaching swim practices and lessons. I am very excited to continue working with the coaching team at Summer Lake and I’m looking forward to an amazing swim season!
Bridget Martin. I have been swimming with Summer Lake Tsunamis since 2016. I have been volunteering with the team as a junior coach since I was 13 years old and love helping kids learn to be part of the summer team. I have been plaing year round travel soccer with the Richmond Kickers since I was 9 years old. I am a rising junior at Monacan High School in the Heath Professions & Therapies Specialty Center, where I am part of the varsity swim team and competed at the regional and state meets this past season. I am a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and will be workin part-time as a lifeguard as well. I look forward help making this a fun summer swim team!
Callie Lambert. I have enjoyed swimming for the Summer Lake Tsunamis for the past 11 years and am so excited to be a coach this year! I have been a junior coach for the past 3 years. My favorite events to swim in the summer are 100 IM and 50 fly. I have been swimming competitively for Quest for the past 6 years and my favorite events are distance freestyle and fly. I am a rising junior at Cosby High School and swim for them as well. I am a Red Cross certified lifeguard. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my sport with others!
