Weekly Update: 1/8/24 - 1/14/24
Hello Red Dragon Families!
IT'S HOME MEET WEEK!!! Hope you are excited! There is A LOT of information int he email so please take time to read it carefully.
Practice this Week
We have practice Monday-Friday this week! Monday-Wednesday will be at MSUM. Thursday and Friday will be at Moorhead High School at the NEW pool. Please note Friday we will be sharing the pool for 30 minutes with another swim club. Tuesday Gold will be peer coaching from 6:50-7:30PM and be in the water. Below is the schedule for this week. I also attached directions on how to get to the MHS pool and where to enter. PLEASE do NOT wander around the facility, please stay in the pool area. There is still construction going on in some areas and we are GUESTS at this facility.
DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE LANES. YOU WILL RECEIVE A TICKET IF YOU DO.
NOTE: We do not have practice on Monday, January 15th due to the holiday.
HOME Meet Information
It is Home meet week! All athletes need to be at the pool on Saturday by 7:45AM. We ask parents to NOT wander around the facility and stay in the pool area as there are two other events going on during our meet. Below is a PDF of all the job descriptions for the meet. Please make sure to know what you signed up for and report to your job area on time. We will send out a reminder on Thursday for volunteers and arrival times for athletes.
MONC Meet - RECAP
AMAZING job to our athletes who attended the meet this past weekend in St. Cloud! There were many time drops and a new State time! Awesome job Red Dragons!
JAWS Meet - ENTRIES DUE

Sickness
With cold weather comes some sickness! We have a small coaching staff and if one coach gets sick, practice groups are left without a coach! If your athlete is not feeling well PLEASE do NOT bring them to practice. We want families, athletes, and coaching staff to stay healthy throughout our season!
MRC - Hotel Block
Our hotel block is now open for the MRC meet! We will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Eden Prairie. We have stayed here for the past 3 years!

REQUIRED - USA REGISTRATION
If your athlete is not USA registered your athlete can NOT attend practice. To register your athlete in USA Swimming please go to our Website, click Registration, click USA Registration Link in blue, and follow the directions from there.
High School Athletes and Qualifying Meets
If your athlete is attending any meets with our team that require a qualifying time and you want to use their High School times you will need a proof of times report from your High School coach or the results of the meet. You can only use meet results or proof of times for State-level meets or lower. Any Sectional, Zone or National Meets have to be MN High School State Meet, ND EDC or ND State Meet. Any other meet does not qualify them for Sectionals, Zones or National Meets. All proof of times and meet results need to be sent to Coach Jess as many meets will ask for proof of times.

Taking a Break?
If you are taking a break this month please let me know by the 25th for your payments to be paused. To know if your payments have been paused go into the GoMotion App and your athlete should be listed as "suspended".
