How Do We Join Revolution?
First, please make sure you're familiar with our program!
We are a competitive team that trains for the entire year. Our "Swim Year" coincides with USA Swimming's competitive calendar, running from September through the following August, with a few weeks off here and there for mental health and physical recuperation!
Our swimmers range from second grade through college. Our practices typically have a higher intensity than local town league, summer league, and high school programs, but most of our swimmers started at this level! If your swimmer has been successful in these other leagues, we'd love to hear from you to see if there's a fit in one of our groups.
We ask our families to commit to joining us for the full year at the time of registration. We do this to allow for better planning and certainty for our staff, and thus, for our families. As swim parents ourselves, we know this is a big commitment, so we want to ensure there's a fit between the swimmer, family, and team.
Already on a USA Swimming Club?
If your swimmer has been on another USA Swimming Club previously or currently, please review and sign our Anti-Recruiting Acknowledgement form before reaching out via our Contact Us form.
We take the recruiting policies of New England Swimming and USA Swimming seriously because we are part of a larger swimming ecosystem. Coaches and teams care deeply about their swimmers and their development. They invest a lot of time and effort in their swimmers and deserve consideration from current athletes. Everyone understands that swimmers and families sometimes fit better on other clubs, so it's fine to look at other clubs.
We do not hesitate to refer swimmers to other local teams when it makes sense for a swimmer and/or family. And, we want to make sure we're good citizens in our swimming community. So, please let your current team to know that you're interested in looking at other clubsk, and why you're looking, so they have an opportunity to address your concerns.
What Groups Do You Have?
Many of our younger swimmers will start in our Stars & Stripes Introductory group, with swimmers ranging in age from ages 7-10. Swimmers wishing to try out for this group should be able to swim at least two strokes legally, have an understanding of the other strokes, and be interested in taking the next steps into year-round training. Stars & Stripes has four potential workouts each week, focused on improving their existing technique and teaching swimmers how training will be conducted at higher levels. We encourage swimmers to attend at least three of these workouts each week.
If your swimmer seems beyond this intro level, please provide details about their prior competitive swimming experience and share any available times. A link to a SwimCloud profile is ideal. When you reach out, please be sure to give us your swimmer's name so we can do our own research as well.
