Rollover & Rebooking for Swim Grades 6-12 starts 23rd November

The swim programme will "rollover" again on Monday 23rd November and continue to operate until 23rd December. The 5 week training block will take us all the way up to Christmas with just Thanksgiving holiday inbetween.

Please remember we are unable to train over Thanksgiving 26th & 27th November this year due to restrictions.

If you have not yet registered for an athletic programme and are comfortable in the water there is no time let now! Get in touch [email protected] to save your place!

Happy Swimming Grade 3-4-5!

We are delighted to have got our first week safely underway for Grade 3, 4 & 5 at Lincoln pool. We had had over 50 kids involved throughout the week at different stages with many positive reports about the fun they had.

Coach Darren, Coach Tan & Coach Matt were all happily welcoming swimmers this week after a 9 month hiatus.

If you child can swim 25m or more we still have a few spaces left, get in quick before they are all gone! Get in touch with us [email protected] to save your place!

Elf on the Shelf

Have you seen Elf on the Shelf recently? “Elf on the shelf” has chosen to join the swim team this

year! SAIS Swim Academy would like to welcome him to the #lionpride and look forward to hearing the #lionsroar !

Of course on entering Singapore from the North Pole she has to finish quarantine first. But don’t worry, she has access to our Online Dryland Training and we are sure will make many friends...  Elf loves taking selfie’s and finding herself in strange situations...

Interested in joining us?!? Drop us a line [email protected] so we can get you involved in all the fun for Grade 3 all the way to Grade 12!

Christmas Shoebox appeal

Swimming is well renowned for building great people. Respect, Ambition, Outstanding Character and Resilience all spell out the acronym for athletics…ROAR. Our coaching staff agreed, it was not enough to just see students grow academically or physically, we want to see them develop character!

…and what better way to do that than in the run up to the Christmas period!

This year there will be many foreign workers who are forced to spend a longer time away from their families than they anticipate. As a gesture of goodwill, SAIS Swim Academy would like to launch our ‘Shoebox Appeal’.

The idea is for each child to fill a shoebox of small items that would bring a smile to our foreign workers both at school or in the dormitories and wrap it like a present. We will have it delivered to the right people.

Acceptable items include…

  1. Cotton or Sports T-Shirt (M, L, XL)
  2. Socks (UK Size 7-10)
  3. Sarong or Wrap (Free Size)
  4. Sports Shorts (M, L, XL)
  5. Adjustable belts (free size)
  6. Toothbrush & Toothpaste

Please no money, giftcards or perishable/breakable items.

We anticipate the first collection that will be delivered to a foreign dorm. The second collection will be to the workers at school. The first collection date is 30th November. The last collection date will 14th December.

Elementary Collection – via Darren Lim & Tan Thong Tseng

Middle & High School Collection – via Heikal Mubarah & Kelvin Ng

We would like children to go through the process to demonstrate the amount of respect we have for the operations staff around school. Without them our jobs would be so much harder. We also appreciate that many recipients or families do not personally celebrate Christmas. However, I don’t believe that this precludes our giving.

Lions hunt in prides, swimmers train in squads, but we are all part of ONE school. Help us to spread the word so that we can collect as many shoeboxes as possible.

Once again thankyou for your consideration in supporting this initiative.
