Zorro Chen, a renowned specialist in the field of swimming, is a former national record holder and an honored swimmer in the National and Shanghai Swimming Team. With an impressive track record, Zorro has more than 50 national championships under his belt from 1989 to 1999, including three gold medals in the 8th national games in 1997. He also set the country's record for the fastest 200 meter freestyle from 1996 to 2001.
Zorro is not only accomplished in the pool, but also possesses a diverse range of skills and certifications. He is a certified Level 5 by the World Swimming Coaches Association and holds the title of Certified Intermediate Swimming Coach by the Chinese Swimming Association. Additionally, he is a team building facilitator, capable of bringing out the best in his swimmers and fostering a cohesive and supportive environment.
Throughout his career, Zorro has contributed significantly to the success of his swimmers and teams. He served as the head coach of the Shanghai Swimming Team (North) and led his swimmers to numerous victories. Some of his notable achievements include winning the gold medal for the 100 female champion in the national championship in 2005, securing two gold medals for the 50 and 100 female backstroke in the FINA World Cup South Africa in 2006, and clinching the gold medal for the 4x100 Female Freestyle Relay in the Asia Championship in 2006.
Zorro's coaching prowess extends beyond the national stage, as his swimmers have also achieved remarkable results in international competitions. They won four gold medals in the Middle School World Championship in Spain in 2005 and emerged as the first-place overall points team in the 2017 and 2019 ACAMIS Swimming Competition. Additionally, Zorro's team was recognized as the top visiting team in the 2018 and 2019 Feeding Frenzy Invitational at Bangkok Patana School.
With his vast knowledge and experience in swimming, coupled with his dedication to the sport, Zorro has left an indelible mark on the swimming community. He continues to inspire and motivate both aspiring and seasoned swimmers alike, imparting his expertise and helping them reach their full potential.
Coach Darren has over 20 years swim coaching experience in Singapore’s international schools. Darren has been fortunate to spend time with some of Australia's best Olympic swimmers and coaches. Originally from Sydney, Coach Darren as an Australian Born Chinese (ABC) is able to bring together the best of both the Eastern and Western styles of training methodologies. He loves seeing that “aha” moment when swimmers suddenly get it! As a swimmer he coaches with an understanding of knowing how the swimmers are feeling and what are the challengers they may experience. Darren’s motto and catch phrase is “Making every Minute and every Metre Matter”
Heikal is our Learn-to-Swim Manager. He is tasked with organising, supervising and delivering high quality swimming lessons at our Lincoln pool as part of the Co-Curriculuar Activities after school. He has been instrumental in building Learn-to-Swim programmes in other International School settings within Singapore. Aswell as experience teaching swimming, he has experience as a lifeguard with Singapore Sports Council.

Nicoy has over 5 years of experience coaching swimmers from various levels. She has gained invaluable insight from working with a variety of swimming schools and clubs such as Singapore Swimming Club. Her coaching journey started from her personal love for the sport. She loves being in the water and feels the most satisfaction when she sees her swimmers develop confidence and love for the sport.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Lyndalou is a seasoned swimming coach who has guided students of all ages and abilities. From guiding infants and their parents to coaching triathletes, supporting disabled swimmers, and helping phobic individuals overcome fear, her approach is adaptive and encouraging, dreating a safe and empowering space in the water. Lyndalou started with learn to swim fundamentals and evolved into a specialist known for patience, insight, and progress focused techniques.
Coach Firdaus Ahmad, an integral member of Aquatic’s
coaching team, brings a profound dedication to the world of
swimming and water safety. He is deeply passionate about both
teaching and the art of swimming.
He serving as an Aquatics Specialist, spending most of his day
delivering the PE curriculum in the school. In the afternoons, he
joined the program, placing a strong emphasis on the quality of
instruction provided to the Development Squad swim team, with a
clear focus on swimmer progression.
He earned his qualifications through SWIM Coaches & Teachers
Australia and has over five years of experience teaching swimmers
across various age groups, including competitive squads. He is also
a certified instructor with Swim School International (SSI).
Additionally, he holds CPR and AED certification, underscoring his
commitment to making safety his top priority.
