Day 2 of Comeback Meet 2 comes to a close.
Today we had 3 girls representing the team in the 100m breaststroke event at OCBC Aquatic Centre in Singapore. Lena produced a great swim to post a 1:55, dropping her time by over a second. Lara also had a good swim dropping a massive 12 seconds to go 2:00. Laila showed that she could go 15 seconds quicker than her best but sadly was DQ'd on her breakout, no doubt a talent to watch for the future. Today's 2x PBs adds a further 7 Personal Bests to the total. For Comeback Meet 2 Stamford Lions have 7 PBs from 9 swims and just 1x DQ.

Roman swam well and dropped another 5 seconds to go 1:37. There is a lovely group of these boys now developing at Stamford, Nico was part of the crew with a 1:37, bettering his time by 6 seconds. In the older age groups, Santi went 1:13, giving all he had, and running completely on empty over the dying meters. It was a 9 second PB. Byron had a great warm-up this time round for his 100m freestyle and it showed. He dropped his time to 1:14, a lovely 5 second drop. Training partner Diego wasn;t far behind with a 1:16 that was also a PB for him. It will be really great to see these boys back training together when restrictions allow. The day finished with 13 swims and 13 PBs, races that both coaches and swimmers can be proud of.
The running PB total stops at 32 PBs from 34 swims, a whopping 94.1% rate. Many thanks to coaches Grace, Heikal, Kelvin & Darren for managing the bubbles of students and to Singapore Swimming Association for their meticulous planning and organisation to make this possible.
