Stamford in Action at ACSIS High School Swim Meet

Stamford American International School

On Saturday 12th November, 18 of our Lions Swim Academy athletes were competing in the ACSIS High School Swim Meet held at Nexus International School. There were 15 international schools from all over Singapore taking part and the standard was tough.

The meet was swam short course (25m) over a range of events. Swimmers were racing for points, the top tanked 16 swimmers in each event would score for the end result.

Unfortunately the weather claimed the last few races of the meet and the event had to stop early. Nevertheless, the various schools decided that the points were largely decided.

Stamford American placed 6th overall in the Women’s event and 9th in the Men’s event. With 23 personal bests swam from 46 races (50% PBs) it was line in the sand for other scheduled meets.  There were 13 school records broken during the competition showing Lions Swim Academy continues to move forward.
