Red vs Blue Meet 4 - Last in the Series

Stamford American International School

Stamford American hosted the last of the swim in the Red vs Blue series on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April at Lincoln Pool. The weather was beautiful, if a touch hot, but it stayed dry for the majority of the racing.

There were 2 other schools that took part in the racing alongside Stamford American. North London and Chatsworth House were both in attendance bringing 54 swimmers between them. There were 122 athletes in total that raced 655 events over the course of the weekend, with 68 students taking part from Stamford. We even had our own Coach Jenny provide an inspiring 800m swim during the event, proving its not just kids that can race!

The event was officiated by Singapore Aquatics and there were just 26 DQs from the 421 races. At this time of the year many of our swimmers have collected personal best times and they did a great job in beating them, a massive 70% PB rate.

Our overall Biggest PB Improvement goes to Davidson in 50 Butterfly and Alicia in 100 Backstroke. Congratulations to you both.

To top things off, there were also a few school records broken over the weekend! Six different swimmers broke 7 records. Congratulations to Ezra, Nils, Miller, Altan, Seth and Zoe!

An important part of being able to run this event is the volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without the support of parents to timekeeping.
