Facilities and Location

Gamecock Aquatics practices and competes out of Carolina Natatorium at the Blatt PE Center on the campus of the University of South Carolina. We are located at 1300 Wheat St., Columbia, SC 29208.

• Pool configuration options
  • 10 lanes 50-meter pool
  • 22 lanes 25-yard pool
• Moveable bulkhead installed in 2009 allowing the length of the pool to be set at 25 yards, twenty-five meters or 50 meters, allowing the Gamecocks to train for various meets throughout the year.
• Featuring 12 solid electronic moveable doors throughout the natatorium, when open Gamecock swimmers have the opportunity to practice under simulated natural conditions. The doors also open to a beautiful sun deck that allows athletes to take full advantage of the warm South Carolina sunshine.
• Carolina Natatorium underwent an extensive renovation during the summer of 2010 when a new pool deck and an upgraded lighting system were installed and again in August of 2022 when new doors were installed, along with new banners. 
• The facility also features a state-of-the-art Colorado timing system. It has a 10-lane readout for spectators and swimmers. The seating area features 800 permanent seats with movable seating to accommodate up to 400 more spectators.

Weight Room

• The club swimmers have access to the natatorium weight room for strength and conditioning work as part of their training.
• The weight room is equipped with:
  • Six power racks
  • Complete dumbbell and barbell sets
  • Medicine balls
  • TRX straps
