Kevin Bouk Team Head Coach / Gold and JO Team Coach

 

Meet our Head Coach Kevin Bouk. Coach Kevin has been involved in USA Swimming and has been swimming since the age of 5. Coach Kevin competed until the age of 20 including 2 years at Riverside City College and have won several competitions. He also worked as a lifeguard and a safety instructor. Coach Kevin teaches HVDA's learn to swim program (white group) during the summer season. In 2010 He became a year round coach for Hemet Valley Dolphins and have been coaching HVDA since. He currently coaches the Blue and Red Groups, but have coached several group levels in his career as a coach. Coach Kevin will start coaching our silver and gold team.  In 2017 he was the boys and girls JV Swim Coach at Hemet High School. In 2018 he became their Head Coach for Water Polo Team. Coach Kevin aslo coaches for West Valley High School Water Polo Team and Varsity Swim Team. Coach Kevin has been involved in the sport of swimming for a very long time and loves what he does.

Coach Kevins says I am constantly critiquing myself everyday, so I can become a better coach. I became a coach for Hemet Valley Dolphins and Hemet High School because I have a lot of respect for aquatic programs that preceded me. I want to do everything in my power to keep this programs competing at a high level. When I'm not coaching, I like to research everything I can about being a coach. This includes new drills, techniques, set, workouts, out of the pool conditioning and nutrition. I want to be able to provide information to athletes about every aspect of swimming and water polo. These are my goals as a  swim coach. 

Coach Kevin's Certificates: USA Swimming Coach Certificate, CPR/BLS Certified, American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches In-Water Skills Session, ARC Water Skills Review and CEU, Pediatric First Aid BLS/AED Certified. 

 

Zahra Pastrana Assistant Head Coach

Coach Zahra enjoys the sport of swimming. She learned how to swim at the age of 3. She started competing for West Valley High Shool her freshman year and later joined the water polo team her sophomore year. Coach Zahra learned early on that she had the passion for coaching. She always volunteered to help the coaches whenever they needed help with the other swimmers. Because of her passion for coaching, she is now one of the coaches for West Valley High School coaching the girls and boys water polo varsity team. Coach Zahra's younger siblings are also competing for the Hemet Valley Dolphins and we are glad to have Coach Zahra as our assistant head coach. 

Certificates: BLS, Basic Water Rescue, CPR/AED, USA Swimming Coach Certificate.

Scott Hitchcock Senior Coach

 

      Meet Coach Scott. One of the most energetic and most enthusiastic coach you will ever meet. We pulled coach Scott out of retirement to help the team back in 2023. Coach Scott has decided to postpone his retirement for now. Coach Scott has been coaching our swimmers at HVDA for more than 20 years and not a day passes by that he doesn't give it 100%. He is like our drill sergeant. You can hear his voice from a mile away when he is coaching. We are so glad to have coach Scott back in our team coaching again. 

Coach Scott's Certificates:  CPR/BLS Certified, USA Swimming Coach Certificate. 

Esteban Arcos Red Group & Summer Camp Coach

Coach Esteban Arcos started swimming with the Dolphins at the age of 10. He has received numerous awards with the Dolphins Swim Team which includes Loyalty Awards and Coaches Choice Awards. Coach Esteban is proficient in all forms and styles in swimming. In his spare he onjoys playing video games, movies, theme parks and arts. Coach Esteban's goal is to finish his degree in business. Coach Esteban will be coaching our summer beginners class as well as our red group class. 

Certificates: BLS/CPR First Aid AED. 

Daniel Saldivar Red Group & Summer Camp Coach

Coach Daniel swims varsity for West Valley High School and has won CIF Championship 2025. Coach will be training our summer camp learn to swim program. Coach Daniel's goal is to work with these young swimmers who are just starting their journey in the sport of swimming. He say's " as a coach, my primary goal is to provide a safe, supportive and encouraging environment where beginners can build their confidence and foundational swimming skills, while encouraging a love for swimming at an early age. 

Gabriela Elkhoury Coach Red Team

Hi, I'm Coach Gaby! I started swimming when I was 7 years old and quickly fell in love with the water. I joined a swim team, later played water polo, and swam competitively all through high school at a Division 1 school. After graduating, I continued my passion for aquatics by working as a lifeguard for Los Angeles City Aquatics, where I also had the joy of teaching both kids and adults how to swim. Swimming has been a huge part of my life, and I truly believe every child should feel safe in the water and discover the joy of swimming. My goal as a coach is to help kids build confidence, improve their skills, and most importantly--- have fun while learning to love the sport.

Certificates: Basic Life Support, CPR and AED Certified. 

Sequoia Waite Summer Program Coach / Substitute Coach

I was a high diver when I was 7 and ended up stopping a few years later when I moved back to California, so I have been around swimming for a very long time. I was then convinced by a PE coach at my middle school to try out for water polo. I loved it and I ended up playing both JV and varsity as a freshman and then varsity for the remaining years. I enjoyed water polo so much, so I continued swimming and was on varsity as a freshman and have been on varsity and one of the top swimmers on my team since joining. 

Certifications: CPR/ AED Basic Life Support. 

Zena Pastrana Summer Program Coach

Meet Coach Zena. Coach Zena also swims for the Hemet Valley Dolphin Gold Team. Coach helps the team during summer coaching our kids in the learn to swim program and also helps coach our Red Beginners and Red Team when she is not training or competing. 

Certficates: Basic Life Support Certified

Savannah Allen Summer Program Coach

Meet Coach Savannah. Coach has become one of the favorites with our beginner swimmers. She is very patient with kids and helps them learn the basics of swimming. Coach Savannah coaches our Learn to Swim Program during summer. She is an avid swimmer and also played water polo in High School. 

Certificates: Basic Life Support.

Tyler Valdez Summer Coach/ Beginners and Red

Coach Tyler has been swimming competitively for nine years (2015-2024) seven of them being HVDA. Coach Tyler has qualified in so many Championship Finals competition in his swimming days. He competed in Winter, June and Summer Age Groups and the Eastern Committee Championships. Coach competes in the 100 and 200 breastroke and butterfly. He also swam for San Jacinto High School varsity and qualified CIF finals for four consecutive years. Coach specializes in the 100 yard breastroke and the 100 yard butterfly. He is very knowledgable in all four strokes in swimming. Coach Tyler's goal is to help our new swimmers achieve their best as they become better and better in the sport of swimming.

Regine Valdez Summer Coach/ Beginners and Red Group

Hello, I am Coach Regine. I have been a part of Hemet Valley Dolphin Aquatics as a competitive swimmer from 2013 - 2022. I competed in numerous meets including Summer Junior Olympics. I also swam for San Jacinto High School varsity team making it to CIF my junior and senior year competing in butterfly and freestyle. I now attend UCSD, studying Cognitive Science specializing in Design and Interaction.I am currently swimming for UCSD Club Swim , where I competed in Championship meets such as CCS Nationals in 2023 and Regionals in 2024. I hope to make coaching in swimming fun and an enjoyable experience for our new beginner swimmers. 

Certificates: Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid.

Marley Puckett Substitute Coach Red Team

I learned how to swim when I was 3 and started competing at age 9. I switched to waterpolo my freshman year at Hemet High School and played varsity all four years. I played waterpolo my freshman year at Crafton College and was captain of the team. Currently in my sophomore year at Crafton and still involved with waterpolo and looking to compete in swimming in the spring of 2026. I've always loved coaching and teaching. In fact I'm majoring in education. One of my first jobs was teaching swim lessons.
