Royal Heats Up Torrance Polar Plunge.
 

40 Royal swimmers competed at the 2025 Polar Plunge last weekend. This was the first swim meet of 2025 for many, and first swim meet EVER for a handful of swimmers.

Although the start of 2025 was an unprecedented time for us all, we are extremely grateful to be back on track for another great 2025 season. This is only the beginning of big things to come!

Here are some highlights:

  • Nicholas Bagri won 4 events: Nicholas Bagri: 50 FR, 100FR, 200 FR, 100BR

  • Valentin Kiselev placed Top 3 in all 6 events: 1st in 100IM, 200IM, 100FLY, 2nd in 200FR, 100BR, and 100FR

  • Mark Kiselev placed Top 3 in all 6 of his events: 1st in 50BR, 100FR, 2nd in 100IM, 50FR, 3rd in 50FLY, 50BK

  • Jordyn Hale breaks 24 second barrier in 50FR for the first time 23.97 (-0.11 sec)

  • Jordyn Hale drops -19.82 sec in 400 IM

  • Beckett Zinn had the biggest time drop in 200IM (-11.70 sec)

  • Julian Tyszko qualifies for Spring Age Group Champs in 50BR (34.79)
     

Congratulations to all our swimmers for a great meet. We have our last SCY swim meet at Rose Bowl in 2 weeks, so let’s prepare for another great swim meet.
