Swim Groups and Practice Times
Monday - Friday
Cat 1 3:45-4:30PM Swimmers not quite ready for full team workouts
(To join Cat 1, swimmers must swim two strokes legally and swim full length without stopping)
Emphasis: Mostly technique, building into a regular workout
Cat 2 3:45-4:30PM Generally less experienced 10 & U's but able to do a team workout
Emphasis: Mostly technique, some endurance
Cat 3 3:45-4:45PM Generally 12 & U stronger swimmers
Emphasis: Mix between technique and endurance
Yardage goal: 1500 to 1800 meters by mid-season
Cat 4 4:45-6:00PM Generally 12 & up stronger swimmers
Emphasis: Mix between technique and endurance
Yardage goal: 2000 to 2600 meters by mid-season
Cat 5 4:30-6:00PM Our strongest swimmers, generally 13 & up
Emphasis: Endurance with technique adjustments
Yardage goal: Group A - 3800 to 4500 by mid-season
Group B - 3200 to 4000 by mid-season
Saturday Practice - Cat 3-5 - 7:00-8:30 AM
