Welcome to our competitive swim team!

The purpose of our team handbook is to give you a foundational understanding of the sport of swimming and address basic questions. Swim Excellence Academy is dedicated to offering opportunities for swimmers to excel at all levels, from beginners to nationally ranked athletes. Swimming promotes a team-oriented mindset while also supporting individual goals and achievements. This sport demands significant dedication and hard work from its participants. One of the greatest advantages of joining an organized swim team is the development of essential life skills, such as time management, self-discipline, independence, and sportsmanship. These benefits extend well beyond the time spent on the team.

We are proud of our team’s achievements during our inaugural 2023-2024 swim season. Our swimmers excelled at both the Summer and Winter Age Group Championship meets, with many reaching the finals. Additionally, several Swim Excellence Academy swimmers were selected to represent our LSC team, San Diego Imperial County (SI), at the All Star Meet and Western Age Group Zone.

Our team is expanding, and we are excited to welcome Troy Smith and JJ Brown as our Assistant Coaches and Marea Allen as our Novice (Littles) Coach.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on our members, the parents of our swimmers, to help build the foundation for our team’s success. Your volunteerism sets a valuable example for your children, teaching them lifelong lessons. Whether you are new to the team or have joined us from another swim team, we encourage you to explore the various opportunities to support the team and contribute to the ongoing success of Swim Excellence Academy.
