White Group is the entry-level group of the competitive team. Emphasis falls on technique development of all strokes while improving conditioning through longer practices and additional yardage than what the swimmer has done in the past. Additional skills taught include practice and competitive skills: clock awareness, circle swimming, adjusting speeds/effort, streamlining, starts and turns and competitive events. We would prefer this group to be 12 & Under.

In-School Practice Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Summer Practice Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

FAQs
What equipment is needed? Fins, Swim Suit, Goggles, Cap
Where do I purchase equipment?

Our team dealer for all equipment is Swim and Tri.  You will receive a BXST team discount.

Their website is linked through our "Xtreme Swim Shop" tab.
How many practices should I attend? There are no attendance requirements, however swimmers should try to make at least three (3) practices a week. A swimmer's progression is directly proportional to their attendance.
Should I swim meets? Yes, swimmers should swim a meet as soon as they feel ready. Competing gives the swimmer and the coach the best opportunity to witness objective progress (i.e. times).
How many meets should I swim? Swimmers should swim as many meets as they want, but all swimmers are asked to swim at least four (4) meets a season.
How do I sign up for a meet? Meet information will be emailed out to all team members. You can sign up for meets through the team website.
How do I get a team cap? BXST team caps are given to all swimmers when they join BXST.  Ask Coach Scott for additional caps.
How do I get a team t-shirt? Each swimmer receives two shirts as part of their team registration fee. Parents can order shirts from Coach Scott with an email request.
What are the requirements to move up to the next group?

Coaches take into consideration a swimmer's attendance, ability level and age when considering who is ready to move to the next training group.

When can a swimmer complete the move-up sets? Move ups will be discussed by coaches and communicated with swimmers and parents at the end of each season, Feb. and July, with some mid-season move ups occurring in Dec.
