Sean Ryan raced to a best time and gold medal in Russia today! Sean swam the 1500 M Free at the World University Games. Next up for Sean is the World Championship Open Water race in Spain!

Friday, August 2 - Be sure to join the team for a fun day of rafting on the Ocoee or the Hiwassee river. The information for both trips are attached. Hiwassee Info - 12 & under trip is the Hiwassee Trip. Parents and swimmers over 12 are welcome on this trip. Ocoee Info - Must be 13 & over to attend this trip. Waiver for Ocoee Trip Checks (made out to McCallie / GPS Aquatics) and waiver are due to Coach Roger by Wednesday, July 17.

The lead group was narrowed down to three swimmers with our very own Sean Ryan setting a brutal pace. Sean finished 2nd in the race and secured a spot at the World Championships in Barcelona.

Sean Ryan placed 4th in the 1650 Free & 15th in the 500 Free to help secure a National Championship for the University of Michigan. Congratulations to Sean and his Michigan teammates for a great season. Be sure to keep an eye out for Sean at practice this spring and summer.

McCallie / GPS aquatics will once again have a preseason summer league clinic for Chattanooga Area Summer League and Fun League swimmers. Be sure to let you summer teammates know about this program. This would not be for swimmers currently swimming with McCallie / GPS Aquatics. For More information click here

Both the McCallie & GPS Middle School teams won the 2013 Middle School Championship Meet! Both squads swam away from the compeition to win by over 100 points. McCallie / GPS Aquatics swimmers winning events were: Haley Grider - 200 IM Jordan Crumpler - 200 Free Max Ransom - 100 Fly Alex Gray - Diving GPS Relays - 200 Medley Relay & 400 Free Relay McCallie 400 Free Relay

McCallie / GPS Aquatics came up close in a great struggle with a powerful and large Huntsville team this weekend. After 2 days of racing the final score was : HSA 2154 vs MCC 2004. Laura Jennings set 10 & under girls 50 Free record leading off the relay on day 1. Day 2 sees Aiden Shaw break the 8 & under boys 50 Fly team record.
