FLORIDA GOLD COAST SWIMMING
MAAPP 2.0 & SAFE SPORT PROGRAMMING
USA Swimming is committed to safeguarding all of its members with the welfare of its athlete members as top priority. Safe Sport is USA Swimming’s comprehensive abuse prevention program and provides tools for swim clubs to educate their members and intervene in risky situations.
We, Florida Gold Coast Swimming, fully endorse and support USA Swimming’s Safe Sport and Safety programs, as well as MAAPP, by helping to provide these resources for our LSC members.
Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP):
USA Swimming Member clubs are required to implement the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) in full. MAAPP contains five sections: One-on-One Interactions, Travel, Social Media and Electronic Communications, Locker Rooms and Changing Areas, as well as Massage, Rubdowns and Athletic Training Modalities. Every USA Swimming club, Zone and LSC is required to implement the MAAPP in full!
