UPDATE Board of Directors Conference Call Meeting scheduled for Monday March 24th at 8 PM. Login information and more can be found on the Event Page here. There will be a Technical Planing & BOD meeting on Saturday, April 26, 2014, site to be determined (either Ocala or Clermont). Technical Planning meeting at 11:00 AM and the FL Board of Director's meeting at 1:00 PM.  Agenda's to be posted at a later date.

The FL Office will be on part time hours 8:30 to 1:00 on March 7 & 13-14, 2014.

Congratulations to Erik Bing, being elected as Junior Athlete Representative to the FL Board of Director's.  Erik will join Jackson Auer, Senior Athlete Representative to represent our 14,000 FL registered athletes.  If you have an interest in being on a FL committee, please forward your name to the FL office email and your name will be given to our FL Athlete Representatives.  

Just a reminder that the Swim Today campaign will kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11:00AM (MST) with a webinar hosted by USA Swimming’s Chuck Wielgus and Matt Farrell. This webinar is the first step in the Swim Today campaign and marks an important moment for the future of the sport. Swim Today aims to bridge the gap between learn-to-swim programs and competitive swim clubs. 2014 FLAG Clarification All Relay competition at FLAGS remains the same; 10 & under, 11-12, and 13-14.  The change for 2014 will be found in the finals sessions; instead of championship and consolation finals, we will swim a championship heat (top 8) of 11 year olds, 12 year olds, 13 year olds, then 14 year olds.  Timed final individual events will score out top-16 in 10 & under, and top-8 in 11, 12, 13, and 14 year olds. Attention all Swim Clubs – If you are interested in having an Instructor for the American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches in your area, please be aware that any currently certified Lifeguard Training Instructor or Water Safety Instructor only has until March 31, 2014 to complete the update to teach this course.  Please read the attached documents.  Once they have recertified to teach this, please have them contact Cori Welbes, Safety Chair, at [email protected] to be added to Florida Swimming’s Authorized Provider agreement.  Instructor Recert Instructor Information  

Warm up changes: The pool will open one half hour early from 6:30-8:50 am on Friday-Sunday.
