  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) today announced swimming star Ryan Lochte as its August Athletes of the Month.  At the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships held August 3-7 in Irvine, Calif., Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.) won a total of three events (200m back, 200m IM, 400m IM). His win against Olympian Michael Phelps in the 200m IM was his first head-to-head win against Phelps in the 200m IM in a major competition.   Team USA’s Tristin Baxter and Damarias Iriondo went 1-2 in the women’s 10K open water race Monday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. Baxter finished nearly three minutes ahead of the rest of the field, turning in a time of 1 hour, 58 minutes and 42.77 seconds.
