They should start seeing them delivered in the next week or two. In the meantime, athletes can access their Deck Pass accounts for proof of membership. The meeting went without a hitch. Thank you Dave Thomas from USA swimming for updating the group about the newest things coming out of USA swimming, deck pass, club portals, club excellence and the new registration fee's that where adopted at Convention. Robby Dellinger explained the new blended learning for Coaches safety, so there should be no more confusion. Dave Smith with the official's committee demonstrated the new interpretation of the breaststroke/butterfly rule and backstroke finish. According to weather channel and Jim Cantore (who is never wrong), this will be a rain event. So will we have meetings as planned. BUT, please watch the weather channels.
The Hurricane is not be a hurricane by the time it hits the Pensacola area at this time. Landfall is expected to be late Saturday afternoon and out of the area in the early morning. We are looking at the possibility of moving the meeting to University of West Florida -where GPAC swims. Phil Kraus is looking into availibility of hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night in the area. I will be sending out an email Friday morning with final dicision.
