Kim Campbell
Hi, my name is Kim Campbell and I am SALT tutor at Building Block School for the Arts. I am a Columbia State graduate, have a love for the arts, and live in Columbia.  Thanks to my 2 grown sons, I have 18 years of home school experience. In 2011, my friends Jamie Moon, Sherry Johnson, and I created SALT. We wanted to offer a tutorial that was focused on the arts and chose the name SALT (School of Arts Learning Tutorial) because we, as Christians, are the salt of the earth. Our first couple of years we averaged about 10 students and studied everything from painting and sculpting to drama to chemistry experiments to devotionals where we learned a few words in Hebrew and Latin. It has been a joy to see how SALT has grown and become the excellent tutorial that it is today. The '17 - '18 school year might have been my messiest but one of the most fun because we have really gotten into our work. We have made play dough that we could eat, created buildings on jello to study earthquakes, made and sculpted Krispie cereal treats, and made bubble snakes to study air pressure and soap!

She also studied voice at Christopher Newport University, Belmont University and various private teachers for over 20 years. She has performed professionally with Paramount Kings Dominion, Dominion Theatre and the place where it all began for her, Commonwealth Musical Stage Company.  Sherry moved to Nashville to work at the Opryland theme park, which closed only months after her move. She continued performing at the Opryland Hotel and theatres around Nashville. Sherry has made numerous television appearances and is currently signed with Talent Trek Nashville.  Sherry created the Children's Music Theatre Workshop in 2013 when she realized that the kids needed more than just experience on the stage. They needed character and  they needed excellence in knowing how to use their gift to the utmost of their ability.
