Kim Campbell
Hi, my name is Kim Campbell and I am SALT tutor at Building Block School for the Arts. I am a Columbia State graduate, have a love for the arts, and live in Columbia.  Thanks to my 2 grown sons, I have 18 years of home school experience. In 2011, my friends Jamie Moon, Sherry Johnson, and I created SALT. We wanted to offer a tutorial that was focused on the arts and chose the name SALT (School of Arts Learning Tutorial) because we, as Christians, are the salt of the earth. Our first couple of years we averaged about 10 students and studied everything from painting and sculpting to drama to chemistry experiments to devotionals where we learned a few words in Hebrew and Latin. It has been a joy to see how SALT has grown and become the excellent tutorial that it is today. The '17 - '18 school year might have been my messiest but one of the most fun because we have really gotten into our work. We have made play dough that we could eat, created buildings on jello to study earthquakes, made and sculpted Krispie cereal treats, and made bubble snakes to study air pressure and soap!
