1/13- learned how to change fractions to mixed numbers. Will review on Monday and learn how to add mixed numbers on Monday. 

1/19- reviewed page 10 for mixed numbers. Learned how to add like fractions and mixed numbers.

1/24- practiced adding mixed numbers. Will start practicing division on Wednesday.

1/26- started review of division concept. Assigned p.9-10 excercises 5-6 for homework.

1/27- reviewed page 9-10 for division. Discussed the similarities between division and multiplication. Completed page 11 of Math Mammoth.

1/31. Went over division problems on page 12 and 13. Assigned page 13, problem no.4 for homework.

2/3- reviewed division problems. Introduced assignment for students to come up with a math lesson. Discussed procedure for creating a lesson. Students will submit lesson plan next Thursday and present lessons the following week.

2/7- continued working on division problems. Took time to research lessons.

2/9- developed strategies for division word problems. Spent time working on math lessons.

2/10- practiced more division word problems. Discussed and approved lesson concepts for teaching next week.  

3/2- reviewed division problems and practiced using fractions in division      

3/3- gave students the entire class to complete a review quiz on division and turned in at the end of class. 

3/16- Introduced the concept of intergers. 

3/17- introduced absolute value and adding and subtracting integers. Emailed additional material on absolute value and assigned subtraction pages for homework. 

3/23- reviewed adding integers of different symbols. Assigned page 19 for homework. 

3/24- reviewed page 19 homework. Worked through page 20 on adding 3 or more integers. Assigned page 21 for homework that will be due next Wednesday. 

3/29- reviewed problems from page 21. Discussed adding larger integers and worked through problem 8 on page 22. Will work through problem #9 and discuss answers on Thursday. 

4/4- reviewed and practiced adding and subtracting integers. Will continue review on Wednesday.

1/24- reviewed memorizing table of 2 multiplication. Started memorizing table of 4 multiplication.

2/2- reviewed division page 13. Worked on page 14 during class recalling multiplication tables to solve division problems.

2/3- reviewed multiplication tables. Played timed multiplication games to see how quick we could answer problems.

2/6- quizzed over tables of 6 and 11

2/9- learned about table of 9 and strategies for memorizing table of 9.

2/10- discussed similar numbers in table of 3 and 9. Reviewed all multiplication tables done so far.

3/2- reviewed multiplication facts. Homework is to fill out multiplication table and answer order of operation problems. 

3/3- worked on scale problems. Assigned page 16 of Multiplication part 2 for homework over the break

3/16- reviewed multiplication problems. Introduced multiplying by 10’s, 100’s and 1,000’s.

3/17- further practiced multiplying by 10’s 100’s and 1,000’s.
