04/18: Hello! Here is the Song Charts for each main song, download what you need. I’ve also uploaded a list of actions for the Actor. It was EXTREMELY helpful for me, any words you don’t know the definition of feel free to look them up! Also for songs with multiple people, please don’t take the extra time to write everyone’s lyrics down! Just write your own, it may be shorter than the other songs which is okay!

3/19 Great rehearsal today.  Hope everyone gets to feeling better!  We will see you thursday.  If everyone is better we will start with music, if we still have sniffles we will block pg 14, 16-27, 25-26 adn page 54 (all subject to change depending on who is here) I have not received any schedule conflicts from anyone.  Please let me know thursday if there are dates (other than illness) that you cannot be at rehearsals.  Rehearsals stat 4:15 and end at 6pm.  On occassion Tech week goes over sometimes, but I will not keep you all too long. (we either have it or we don’t...)

Notes are always put here, if you get a note in person you say "thank you" or "thank you, can we talk about this later" and it’s up to you to get with me. (after rehearsal is usually better than before rehearsal, but just let me know)

character training: here is the link for Mandygleamglo who has the fun training tutorials for voices.  You don’t have to copy her or think "I don’t ever want to be a princess so this doesn’t pertain to me" it does!  listen to how she describes the voices, placement, geography of the character voice... it’s important to know how to pick apart a voice.  (you’ll need to have an instagram account to find her )

assignments: Cinderella =Maddie, Cindy Lou Who= mabel, Merida/Brave= Emma, Charlie Brown = Garrison, Milly = Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel = Libby

It was really great working with you all! We are continuous enrollment, so please let me know if you are not staying for Tuck Everlasting, that way I can take you off the roster and your parents won’t keep getting billed.  🤗 for the rest of you, I will see you Tuesday 4pm for auditions.  We shouldn’t take more than an hour.

This week some time, please watch as much of this video as you can. Tuck Everlasting full musical

Also read through the script the next few weeks and find that moment that you really think is the most important thing your character says.

have fun!

2/28 Thursday is our last rehearsal before tech week starts.  I’ve really enjoyed diving into character work, but now it’s time to put it into action.

WEDNESDAY : read through your script visualizing your movement as you read. Are you making the most of your posture? Your facial expressions? Your articulation? Your gestures? Be intentional with every movement and every reaction. Practice some reactions in the mirror, make sure they are big enough for someone in the back of the audience to see.

"Good, Better, best, never let it rest, till your hood gets better and your better gets best! -Ella Fitzgerald.

2/1/24 Here is the link for character Questions.  Please take time to think through these questions.  This will help you even more than memorizing lines.  Please "know" your lines rather than memorize them.

also, figure out your 2-3 sentences on how you will react to who the audience picks.
