Aladdin Script :

We are elated to get this show started! Thank you all for auditioning, you all did so well.  Some tie breakers were made because of the need for a certain dance style, or ability to hold a part against others, or a costume, or even... yes... because part of our set will have limited head room and we needed short people. Please remember that when you don’t get the part you want, a lot more than how good you are goes into the decision.

I feel really good about this cast and the roles you’ve been chosen for. I cannot wait to see you all shine!

We will have a read through online at 4:30pm on TUESDAY (tomorrow)  We will do a quick game, lesson, and read through.

Please reply to this message and let me know if you acceept your role.

Hello all, great job. Next week starts tech week.

As you review your lines, ask yourself, why do I say this? What is it that I am trying to get? Who is stopping me from getting it?

Remember you don’t have to give the audience everything. Sometimes suppressing emotions is even more impactful.

Stay facing the audience. Open up.

Say your lines slowly and use some pauses.

Good afternoon all,

My goodness, I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking tech week.

Tech week is when we add lights, sound and costumes.  Putting it all together several times so that the cast and crew can  runt the show smoothly and consistantly.

We would like to add Monday to our week for tech.  I understand if that won’t work for everyone, but please let us know ahead of time if you can’t make it work, and then definately we need you Tuesday and Thursday.

Tech week October 6,7,9 from 4pm to 6pm.  We will open the doors at 3:45 if you can drop your super star off early.

We have to end right at 6pm as we have another theatre company, adults,  using our space.  For the safety of the kids and ease of getting in and out, we ask that everyone be picked up right at 6pm.

SHOWTIME: For shows, actors have a Call time, that is the time that the actor arrives to check their props, gather their cotumes, dress, and prepare for their character.   Usually, professionally, it’s an hour before showtime, or an hour before "house opens" which is the time we allow audience in.  I like to call kids in an hour before house opens.

Call time Friday October 10th is 5:40, audience can come (house open)  in at 6:40.

Call time Saturday Oct. 11th is 5:40, house is open at 6:40

Call time Sunday Oct 12 is 12:40, house opens at 1:40.

We will have a concessions table with some fun Persian foods.  Please come hungry and let your friends know too.

Tickets are available (and already selling!) at https://buildingblockarts.ludus.com Tales for the Sultan
