Brazil named host of the 30th Summer Universiade in 2019 BRUSSEL, BELGIUM--The International University Sports Federation (FISU) on Saturday elected Brasilia, Brazil as the host of the 30th Summer Universiade in 2019. Originally running for the host of the 2019 World University Games were Brasilia; Budapest, Hungary; and Baku, Azerbaijan. The two other candidates for the Summer Universiade both withdrew their bids; Budapest due to their being awarded the 2021 FINA World Championships. Synchro Worldwide Seminar concludes in St-Petersburg The FINA Synchronised Swimming Worldwide Seminar 2013 successfully concluded in St-Petersburg, Russia, on November 3. A total 161 synchro judges and coaches representing 55 nations attended the event. One of the seminar's main objective was to review and explain the new rules in synchronised swimming to the synchro judges and coaches.
