Barbara Jordan's lifelong dedication to swimming has been marked by significant contributions both in coaching and industry roles. Starting as a competitive swimmer, she transitioned to coaching in the mid-80s, guiding summer league teams in the DC area and developing young talent as a club coach. As Aquatics Director at the YMCA, she oversaw various programs and helped swimmers advance to NCAA competitions and Olympic trials. In 1996, Barbara moved to the business side of the sport with roles at Speedo International and Nike Swim, where she enhanced team dealer programs and sponsorships. Achieving ASCA Level 2 certification, she now trains triathletes and continues to inspire athletes with her expertise and passion for swimming. Barbara has made lasting contributions to the swimming community and continues to inspire and develop athletes at all levels.
