Recreation Team Info
The Recreation team is for athletes just getting started in the world of swimming or looking to develop their abilities without the competition requirement. With reduced practice requirements and shorter sessions this team is ideal for those who are potentially juggling multiple sports, preparing for Highschool swim, or developing their technique to graduate onto the Competitive team. The Recreation team has seperate sessions in the Fall and Winter and will join in with the Competitive team for their Sprint and Olympic Sessions with the option to mix and match your practice days.
Pre-Requisites
- Legal in 3 of the 4 strokes (freestyle and backstroke required)
- Must tryout OR provide legal proof of time (NVSL or USAS)
- Tryout may be performed via trial practice with appropriate group

Summer Olympic Session (May 27 - July 31)
The Recreation team will be swimming with the Competitive Team for the Summer Olympic session. Please register via "Competitive Team Registration Tab"
Give your athlete the chance to train lilke an Olympian. Practice will be focused on building endurance in each stroke, maintaining good technique, and longer durations of speed. This will greatly compliment any NVSL swimmers looking to take their sport to the next level.
8 + Unders - Swims 2-4 times per week
9 - 10yr/olds - Swims 2-4 times per week
11 - 12yr/olds - Swims 2-4 times per week
13 - 14yr/olds - Swims 2-4 times per week
15 - 18yr/olds - Swims 2-4 times per week

SPRING SPRINT SESSION (April 7th - May 22nd)
This 7-week unique session that specifically prepares and progresses swimmers in all 4 strokes for summer swim. We will provide conditioning for all strokes, focusing on speed and technique. All PM practices will be in SCY (short course yards).

9 - 10yr/olds - Swims 2-3 times per week
11 - 12yr/olds - Swims 2-3 times per week
13 - 14yr/olds - Swims 2-3 times per week

Flex Schedule
Want to keep the flexibility in your practice schedule? Choose the flex option and mix and match your practice days each week to whatever best fits your athlete's schedule. Show up on which ever group practice works best, no need to let coaches know ahead of time! Practice times and days stay the same.
