SWAMI Holiday Clinic

ROSE PARK/SLC -- Race Swami is hosting their their third clinic of the year for the Rose Park/Glendale community beginning Monday, December 19th. The clinic will run through the end of the week, with morning sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am to noon, and afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3pm.

All the swimming sessions take place at the Northwest Recreation Center in Rose Park. The clinic is headed by SWAMI coaches Matt Finnigan, Chelsea Peterson and Erika Eisenman. Many of the SWAMI athletes, ages 10 to 18 will be on hand to assist at the clinic--in and out of the water.

According to Team President, Leslie Motley (aka Mother Motley), all ages and abilities will be represented, from those kids just learning to swim, to those who are refining stroke technique. "We love and welcome them all!," Mother Motley exclaimed. "This is a great way to close out the year... our first year as Race Swami. A great, great club that enjoys giving back to the community here."

Plenty of treats and Gatorade are offered to all clinic-goers as well. "Oh those kids, let me tell you... they need proper replenishment after a good hour in the water," Mother Motley added. "We're just happy to see them come out and get in the water with us. Many of these youngsters are 'veterans of our clinics now."

Race Swami will continue offering clinics in 2012, the next being the Winter Break in February.
