SWAMIs are proud to offer volunteer service hours to other local organizations!
One thing about giving back is the idea that those whom you help will in turn, realize the power of a helping hand, and "pay it forward." Service hours at Race Swami come with the territory; so we ask that all families of Race Swami provide a minimum of 12 hours of service per year. (However, many of our parents and swimmers get enthralled in the concept of helping out that they end up doing well more than that.)
There are many opportunities throughout the year, and SWAMIs play a role in many Rose Park-Glendale-West Side community events and opportunities. Many service hours have been logged for swim clinics, mentoring/tutoring opportunities for local youth, fun runs, Easter Egg Hunts, triathlons, local shelters, holiday events, translations from Spanish to English (and vice versa), the Utah State Fair and the like. Our families also pick up valuable service hours by helping out at our annual SWAMI EVENT fundraiser and the USA swim meet we host every late October, the Dia de los Muertos Classic held at the Northwest Rec Center in Rose Park.

Thank you so much for volunteering!!
Swamis pose in front of the truck they loaded for The Road Home just in time for Christmas 2014.
All told, more than 40 SWAMIs were involved in this service project.
